Learn more about my web page
Thank you for taking the time to visit my web page and learning more about me and my love for teaching. My name is Michele Gilchrist and I am majoring Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education at the University of Mary.
I was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota and graduated from Bismarck High School in 2000. I obtained my Associate in Arts degree from Bismarck State College in 2003. In 2004 I moved to Fargo, ND to attend North Dakota State University. My plan was to major in Apparel Studies. After a year at NDSU, I knew that I wasn't on the right educational path for me so I began working full-time. I held numerous leadership positions at my job but after years of soul searching, I came back to a career that I have always been passionate about - education. When I was younger, playing teacher was my favorite thing to do. I have always loved working with children from teaching the pre-school children at Sunday School to babysitting on the weekends. Entering the Elementary Education program at the University of Mary has been one of the best thing I have ever done. I have learned so much from all of my professors as well as strengthened my faith that this is the career I belong in.
This website highlights my experiences at the University of Mary, as well as my personal and professional teaching experiences. Please feel free to browse around and thank you for visiting.
