Teaching Philosophy
“A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.”
-Brad Henry
I believe being a teacher is one of the greatest professions one can go into. Teachers instill the passion to learn and motivate students to succeed through core values. To teach is to take responsibility for student learning, demonstrate strong pedagogical content knowledge and display strong professional characteristics.
I believe an education is the most important thing anyone can receive in his or her lifetime. Every student deserves the best education possible and by developing a strong learning environment and using a variation of assessments, I have the opportunity to address all of my students' needs. I will treat each student with respect, urge them to ask questions about things they are unsure of, and I will develop a rapport with them to learn more about them as indviduals. Through motivation and enthusiasm I will instill a love for learning into the minds of my students. I want my classroom to be a safe and welcoming environment that promotes learning, encourages creativity, and free thinking. I want to challenge my students every day and share in their joy of a job well done.
